 300 Million Yen Robbery

300 Million Yen Robbery

$38

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The 300 million yen robbery, also known as the 300 million yen affair or incident, was the single largest heist in Japanese history. It occurred on the morning of December 10, 1968 in Tokyo, Japan. As of 2010 it remains unsolved. The bank employees had believed the thief was a policeman, and had accepted his story about the bomb as he had sent threatening letters to the bank manager beforehand. The smoke and flames turned out to be the result of a warning flare he had ignited while under the car. At some point, the thief abandoned the bank’s car and transferred the metal boxes to another car, stolen beforehand. That car too was abandoned, and the boxes transferred once again to another previously stolen vehicle. 120 pieces of evidence were left at the scene of the crime, including the “police” motorcycle, which had been painted white. However, the evidence was primarily common everyday items, scattered on purpose to confuse the police investigation.

 Abraham Lincoln's Extraordinary Era

Abraham Lincoln’s Extraordinary Era

$35

This handsomely illustrated volume commemorates Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday and gives rare insight into the President who shook the world—and whose words and example endure today in nations from Siberia to Mexico to Pakistan. This is the official book of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (ALPLM) in Springfield, Illinois that has welcomed more than one million visitors since its 2005 opening. Using the exhibition halls as a launching point, this book offers stories, anecdotes, and never-before-seen images and artifacts from the museum’s vault. It positions Lincoln as a man of his century, a time ripe with Industrial Revolution, travel and culture, abolition, and war. Worldwide events figure into the story: Britain’s emergence as a democracy, Russia’s freeing of the serfs, Japan’s opening to foreign trade, Germany’s unity under Bismarck. Every page reflects the humor, integrity, and unique style of leadership that made Abe Lincoln a legend. Quote boxes reveal his sayings; cartoons give a glimpse of him from domestic and foreign shores; sidebars highlight archaeological discoveries, such as the store where young Lincoln held his first job. Personal incidents tell of his special relationship with son Willy; his love for his wife; and the reverence he has inspired in such luminaries as Tolstoy, Gandhi, and Thatcher. With multiple promotional venues and copies displayed in both the Lincoln Store and the new store at Gettysburg, this book will become a centerpiece for state and national Lincoln Bicentennial celebrations.

Art of Metal Clay: Techniques for Creating Jewelry and Decorative Objects

Art of Metal Clay: Techniques for Creating Jewelry and Decorative Objects

$17.92

Developed in Japan in the early 1990s, metal clay represents a dramatic development in the handling of precious metals for jewelrymaking. Metal clay consists of microscopic particles of silver or gold suspended in a pliable organic binder that can be worked with the hands and simple household tools, eliminating the need for difficult metalworking processes such as soldering, hammering, and cutting. When metal clay is fired, the binder burns away and the metal particles fuse into pure (99.9 percent) metal. The Art of Metal Clay is a comprehensive introduction to the medium designed specifically for crafters and jewelrymakers, detailing the essentials of working, firing, and finishing metal clay to create beautiful jewelry and decorative objects. Artist and instructor Sherri Haab demonstrates metal clay’s remarkable versatility, showing how it can be textured, molded, carved, and sculpted to create gorgeous beads, bracelets, pendants, earrings, rings, and other jewelry settings, plus boxes and vessels. She also reveals how to combine metal clay with polymer clay, glass, and epoxy resin to create unique mixed-media pieces. An essential resource for anyone who wants the latest information on this up-and-coming crafts medium!

The Art of Metal Clay: Techniques for Creating Jewelry and Decorative Objects

The Art of Metal Clay: Techniques for Creating Jewelry and Decorative Objects

$24.99

It is an early example of the platform genre, as the gameplay focuses on maneuvering the main character across a series of platforms while dodging and jumping over obstacles. In it, Jumpman (now known as Mario) must rescue a damsel in distress, Lady (now known as Pauline), from a giant ape named Donkey Kong. The hero and ape later became two of Nintendo’s most popular characters. The game was the latest in a series of efforts by Nintendo to break into the North American market. Hiroshi Yamauchi, Nintendo’s president at the time, assigned the project to a first-time game designer named Shigeru Miyamoto. Drawing from a wide range of inspirations, including Popeye and King Kong, Miyamoto developed the scenario and designed the game alongside Nintendo’s chief engineer, Gunpei Yokoi. The two men broke new ground by using graphics as a means of characterization, including cut scenes to advance the game’s plot, and integrating multiple stages into the gameplay. Despite initial misgivings on the part of Nintendo’s American staff, Donkey Kong proved a success in North America and Japan. Nintendo licensed the game to Coleco, who developed home console versions for numerous platforms. Other companies cloned Nintendo’s hit and avoided royalties altogether. Miyamoto’s characters appeared on cereal boxes, television cartoons, and dozens

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Yasushi Tsujimoto, better known by his ringname “brother” YASSHI, is a Japanese professional wrestler, known for his appearances in El Dorado Wrestling, Dragon Gate, and All Japan Pro Wrestling. He was an amateur wrestler before becoming a pro wrestler. Tsujimoto debuted in Toryumon Japan as part of the T2P class as Stevie “brother” Tsujimoto. He was ranked second, roughly tied with Masato Yoshino, but far behind Milano Collection AT. Both he and Yoshino would join Milano’s faction The Italian Connection, renaming to YASSINI and YOSSINO respectively. Tsujimoto did not like his new name, and after arguing with Milano, settled on “brother YASSINI”. The Italian Connection began showing a divide, as Milano and YOSSINO were face oriented, whereas YASSINI and fellow ItaCon stablemates Condotti Shuji, Bakery Yagi and Berlinetta Boxer were all heels. YASSINI and Shuji would split from the ItaCon when they attacked Milano and YOSSINO with blue boxes.
